Miller-Burton
Travella Miller-Burton made a decision to retire from the field of Social Work after 35
years when she discovered it was no longer serving her best interest. Her professional
experience span from a Secured Girls Facility, to Big Brothers/Big Sisters,
Foster Care, Adult Mental Health, and her final position in Wayne County
Juvenile Justice where she invested 22 years. While in the field of Social Work
Travella served hundreds of families, now she has decided to serve from within
herself. She did what she was taught to do, go to school, earn a degree,
get a good job and work for a decent company. Now she has decided it is time to
go from employment to deployment (Her movement to a place and position of
action from within). Now she is focusing on Her Work. Years ago, Travella
learned from Dr. Myles Munroe the difference between your job and your work.
Your job is what you were trained to do, your work is what you were born to do.
Your job is your career, your work is your life assignment, your job is your skill,
your work is your gift, you can be fired from your job, you can never be fired from
your work. Jobs are temporary, work is permanent. Travella believes that
Queendom Territories is a part of her WORK.
